John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Democrats Don’t Know Anything About Judge Kavanaugh, They Just Know They Don’t Like Him

Posted by Kemberlee Kaye    Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 3:27pm

An added bonus? Watching Democrats suddenly concerned about judicial activism.

Monday night, Trump announced his second Supreme Court Justice nominee, setting the left’s dumpster of irrational fears ablaze.

The meltdowns began with Justice Kennedy’s retirement announcement when Democrats and their media outlets began declaring the end of civilization and the beginning of Handmaid’s Tale Armageddon.

The White House was especially tight-lipped about Trump’s decision to nominate Judge Kavanaugh to the bench. But Democrats (at least lost with the loudest national platforms) aren’t concerned about Kavanaugh’s record or judicial philosophy, they just know they don’t like him or anyone else on Trump’s shortlist.

Exhibit A:

Oh, ok. Except, that’s not Judge Kavanaugh. That’s Thomas Hardiman. But carry on with your well-informed criticism.

More laughter here:

I wonder if he thinks that he can dump additional money into Hillary's campaign should she decide to run again ? Sorry George but in a recent poll I participated in had ninety-eight percent of the people polled stating that they DID NOT TRUST  Hillary Clinton .

Beto O’Rourke Flew to L.A. (AGAIN) to Fundraise for His Texas Senate Campaign

Posted by Kemberlee Kaye    Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 7:00pm

Nothing says “Texas grassroots campaign” like fundraising in Hollywood

Democrat Senate Candidate Rep. Beto O’Rourke might be a hit among the Lone Star State’s recent liberal transplants, but jumping a plane to L.A. for a Hollywood fundraising gig is not a good look. And yet…

Monday, Variety reported that Rep. O’Rourke was in L.A. “at the home of actress Nancy Stephens and director-producer Rick Rosenthal for an evening reception.”

He’ll be at the home of actress Nancy Stephens and director-producer Rick Rosenthal for an evening reception, with ticket prices starting at $250 per person. Those who contribute $2,700 per person or raise at least $5,000 earn a spot on the host committee.

Cook Political Report classifies the Senate race as “likely Republican.” While O’Rourke’s chances are still classified as a bit long by the political punditry, he raised $6.7 million, more than twice that of Cruz, in the first quarter. That includes about $167,000 from entertainment industry sources, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. His donors so far include Tate Donovan, Rian Johnson, Phil Lord, Connie Britton, Aubrey Plaza, Bob Odenkirk, Jim Gianopulos, and Tom Rothman. Chelsea Handler is among those who have been publicly championing O’Rourke in Twitter posts.

Co-hosts for Monday’s event include Tom and Ellen Hoberman, Phil Mercado and Todd Quinn, Cotty Chubb, Pat Klous and Roman Silberfeld, Charles Horak, Thao Nguyen and Andreas Krainer, Alan Rosenberg, Cate Park, Jon Vein and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Marilyn Bitner, Jonathan Berry, Wendy Wanderman and Lynne Wasserman.

Variety reported this is at least the third such fundraiser O’Rourke has held in California for his Senate campaign.

Both Cruz and O’Rourke have received more than $2 million in donations from out of state. A feat not entirely surprising for Sen. Cruz who established a national fundraising base during his failed run for president in 2016.

The Houston Chronicle charted the breakdown:  Full story here:

Will Hillary persist in 2020? Her actions suggest ‘yes’

There’s been buzz circulating lately that Hillary Clinton may still have her eye on the Oval Office and is considering stepping back in the ring to take another shot at the 2020 Democrat presidential nomination. Because quitters never win, or something.

On its face, it sounds like pure insanity. However, she’s spent the last year and a half fixated on the 2016 election, traveling all over and telling anyone who will listen why it’s not her fault she lost.

She even went so far as to write a book, “What Happened.”  Her publisher could have saved a few trees and sent her a two-word email - you lost.

Outside of politics Hillary is lost. Her actions post-election reveal it’s all she ever aspired to, and she doesn’t appear to be letting it go.

Please, please make it so.......

It's not clear how well-marked his property was, or whether he'd asked people to move, but regardless of what preventative measures had or had not been taken, the result was still the same: Cars parked on his property.

Hillaryous.......

The president could choose Jesus Himself for his top pick for the high court,, and the liberals would still take issue with Him. Amazing thing about the democrats is that they can never give an accurate accounting for their reason(s) to turn down a well qualified candidate like Brett Kavanaugh . Opps,,,yes there is one "verifiable " reason..... They aren't to happy with the fact that the balance in the judge's bank account amounts to some $ 62,000 . Good show for the judge , but the liberal leftist carry high balances in their own bank accounts . Since they attribute theirs to bribes, kick backs, donations from deceived reprobates and good ole pork barrel spending. Sounds like the Judge may be just too honest for the job.  M

California x3 gains 4 more US Senators.

Perhaps South-California could rejoin Mexico, Middle-California could cecede and become the People's Republic of California and North-California could remain part of the USA?

Actually that's not a bad idea. Once established all three will be blaming each other as to who started the wild fires now plundering  the state.

Brace yourself for it.....we finally have "Lunch Equality"

However, some parents support the district’s decision, saying it promotes lunch equality and healthier eating habits.

“I’m not sure the reason, but applaud the school board for what seems to be a healthy change for the students,” one person wrote.

“Oddly I support this. I would hope they are doing this for the right reasons though. That being it’s simply not right for kids who do not ever get these things to watch the other classmates eat it in front of them. Some parents can’t afford to bring child fast food,” someone else commented.

“So what about all of the other kids that are going to be complaining that your kid got a happy meal and they didn’t? What about the kids who parents can’t afford to bring their children lunch or something like that? Are you really gonna let your kid eat their happy meal in front of all these other kids? They’re avoiding those issues all together with this policy,” another supporter wrote.
