Christforums

.... an orthodox (true and correct when contrasted with Liberal theology) Protestant forum whose members espouse the Apostolic doctrines in the Biblical theologies set forth by Augustine, Martin Luther, Ulrich Zwingli, John Calvin and John Knox etc. We do not "argue" with nor do we solicit the membership of people who espouse secular or cultic ideologies. We believe that our conversations are to be faith building and posts that advance heretical or apostate thinking will be immediately deleted and the poster permanently banned from the forum. This is a Christian Protestant community for people to explore the traditional theologies of Classical Protestantism.

Christian Fellowship

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Good morning from SE Texas and one old hick. I am very, very, married to the Perfect Mate and I love to study the scriptures and to let YHWH touch my heart and to teach. I recently, for my birthday, was awarded with a copy of the Hallelujah Scriptures, a Bible that cannot be sold. It leaves the names of the actors in scripture alone and, even, from a Jewish Perspective, is not polluted but is factually correct by Alan Horvath who was raised Jewish and endorses it. http://www.alanhorvath.com/bibleprophesies.php

I was thirty months in Vietnam for three tours from June 1966 - November 27, 1969 with the First Cavalry. I came off the stage December 31, 1990 and all I wantee and allv I desire is to work to glorify my LORD, YHWH, my Elohim. I spent about twenty-five years trying to be somebody but from the moment YHWH kicked my feet out from under me and broke my heart with the truth of Yashua dying for my many, many ,sins, I under stood that I did not want to become overbearing about it but that I was somebody, a child of the King of Glory.

I am 73 years old and recently wrote a Fiction Book based on my experiences and the experiences of others annd it is History based on fact that gives insight into why my dreams are so rough to deal with. I have PTSD that I try to control when I'm awake and because I have MS I am in a powered wheelchair. I'm told the Agent Orange caused the MS, I don know but it is not fun to take a fist full of meds twice a day, one of them an Opioid. I will admit, when people tell me today, "thank you for your service," I want to scream at them. I am happy they do not treat these kids the way they treated us but the people I grew up with would not have a beer or a coke with me when I gave up on my eight years in the service because LBJ and Tricky Dicky would not let us finish that war and make the nearly sixty thousand men, one of them my best friend, count for good.

Anyway, I love YHWH, Yashua and Ruach and always to know more.
