John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Does the US simply wait until one gets fired over (or "at") Guam, Anchorage, Honolulu, etc.?

Yeah, maybe we should fire a couple across North Korea, let them land in the ocean on the other side. I vote yes!

(It'll probably make the Chinese nervous. Maybe they'll shut down NK, cut off ALL the resources they provide to that lunatic "on the throne" in NK.)

My speculation is that our Nation's military is in shambles at the moment and needs rebuilding after 8 years under Obama. I am unfamiliar with whether increased budget spending has been passed to rebuild our military? I think a North Korean war is going to take massive amounts of resources.

God bless,

William

No doubt. Sequestration crippled us. Our military, all branches, is training using used parts. I don't know what happened to the $59 billion Trump called for. In any event, it can't match the stupidity of Congress and the waste and mismanagement of the responsible Cabinet.
