John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Calls Unlimited Abortions Up to Birth a Human Right

INTERNATIONAL SPUC AUG 21, 2017 | 3:28PM OTTAWA, CANADA

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that Ireland should treat abortion as a “human rights” issue.

At a three-day meeting in Canada between Mr Trudeau and Leo Varadkar, the Irish taoiseach, the two leaders spoke about Mr Varadkar’s plan to hold a referendum next year to repeal the Eighth Amendment to the Irish constitution, which protects the right to life of the unborn child. “On the issue of reproductive rights, I shared our perspective that reproductive rights for women are integral to women’s rights in general and women’s rights are human rights and I encouraged him to look at it as a question of fundamental rights for women and we had a good discussion on that,” he said.

Yet, the rights of unborn babies, who are also human, is not a "human rights issue."

Pro choicers stick their foot in their mouths every time they mention human rights when they are stating it's a human right to abort since they themselves don't have the right to have been born by their own logic, therefore they have no rights by claiming rights.

Yes, it's dishonest reasoning, that's for sure. How anyone could pride themselves as being a champion of basic human rights, while supporting the murder of the most helpless human beings, is something I will never be able to understand.
