John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

The importance of prayer in the life of a child of God;

Greetings beloved I have come to see the need of prayer in the pilgrimage of a child of God on earth before Jesus Christ comes back for his church.I read a work about the salvivic work of Christ on the cross and its significance ,it began on the cross(sacrifice of Christ) and ended in the presence of God the father(intercession of Christ).

Why is this important ?

I came to know that the sacrifice should not be separated from the intercession meaning what Christ died for is accessed through prayer.

Genuine Prayer is an Honor, a Privilege and a Duty for all believers in Christ . The more we practice it the more we gain in the knowledge and wisdom of our Lord Jesus Christ . Glad to have you in the forum.
