  1. Sorry I haven't been online in a long time life has been hectic. I was wondering what we should make about the subject of fighting. Say that your being attacked by an angry person and he is swinging punches and using an iron bar for a weapon. Now what is the biblical or Christian thing to do? in the old testament God aided his ppl in war david even fought goliath but in the new testament Jesus said to Peter turn the other cheek. So do I turn the other cheek or fight back in self defense?

    Predestination vs Free will

I am defining free will as an ability to choose to accept God's gift of salvation, I am not talking about our human nature. God has offered us his love and mercy his salvation and care but we have to choose to accept it he isn't going to force us to take it, we will always have to deal with our sinful nature as long as we are in the flesh but his grace is more than enough. I don't know what you mean by double predestination but if you believe in predestination do you believe some were created destined for heaven while others were destined for hell?

    Predestination vs Free will

Bible translation is sometimes an issue but as far as everyone and and anyone or whosoever vs everyone this is not an issue I think because both are saying if anyone calls upon him he will answer
  4. Predestination vs free will salvation is a serious topic, I don't believe in predestination for many reasons and I would like to make my case. First the belief that some were created destined for heaven while others were created destined for hell contradicts God's nature. God is love above all else he loved the world so much he sent his one and only son to die for us, now many know the pain of losing a child imagine how God must have felt to see his son be brutally beaten mocked tortured and killed. The pain he must have felt must have been unbearable and yet he allowed it because he loved us and wanted us to be saved, If Jesus died for only a chosen people then his sacrifice was in vain in my opinion because then some ppl no matter what they do could never be saved and will go to hell. This doesn't sound like God at all it's not what a loving father does in fact it's down right unfair and horrible. I believe free will has the power to change our fate fort instance listen to this Joshua 24:15 And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Notice how he said Choose) And also John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. ( he said whoever not some or a certain ppl) Romans 10:13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” ( notice he said everyone)

Christ atonement covers or washes away sin?

The sacrifices of the lambs was merely a covering of our sins. They used the lambs blood because it symbolized Jesus's blood the ultimate sacrifice that would come in later although I doubt they knew this. Jesus didn't cover our sins he washed it clean as if it was never there in the fathers eyes we are clean we are spotless we are pure even though many as well as me don't feel that way. Even though I know this I still feel unworthy and sinful I still do not believe I am clean and righteous because there is a difference between knowing grace and understanding it, I have the knowledge but I can't seem to believe it

    Responding to God's Discipline

I am one who eagerly yearns for God to teach me and so I love everything he teaches me no matter how small or how big or even how he does it even if it's in his discipline because even in that I learn and I grow in him and I learn more of who he is. I love his rebuke for it teaches me his ways and keeps me on the right path.

    Debate As a Christian Duty

I have only been saved for three years and in this three years I have been in many different Christian forums and have been in thousands of debates and in doing so I have seen many different views and beliefs and how many of them cause war among believers and I have seen how ppl will attack each other and will use scripture as a weapon even twist it to fit their own views and beliefs and will use it to condemn each other. I have also seen how many are addicted to such debates as it seems to give them a sort of high or rather they simply enjoy such fiery debates, In fact some forums are created simply for such debates. Seeing all this we could easily say that debating the bible and the Christian beliefs is simply pointless but it is a fact that in order to find the truth about something debating is is almost always needed but the difference is debating for the right reasons and with the right heart. I have seen many new believers being made scared and run away because of the fiery debates believers have, it can get very harsh and in all honesty very un Christ like. In my time of seeing and being involved in these things I learned a few things. First is that if we are to be debating we can't go into it to prove we are right and they are wrong and we can't go into it with a hardened heart we have to have a willing teachable one even if that means we are wrong and they are right or else how will we learn? how will we find the truth? Also debating requires a patient and loving heart, the second we allow ourselves to respond in anger that is when the enemy wins, both God and satan are greatly at work in the forums and in debates it's a constant spiritual war and sadly from what I have seen the enemy has been having the upper hand for quite a while now. Also we have to know when to shake the dust off our feet and walk away, sometimes ppl will not listen no matter what you do and sometimes they are just looking for a fight so we have to have the wisdom to know when to simply move on.
