Noam Chomsky Addresses Anti-Abortion Hypocrisy

Recommended Posts

Zog, do you think that pro-life protester in the video from from the 1970s represents the view of even 1/10th of 1% of pro-lifers? If so, why did you need to go back 40 years?

There's no hypocrisy in wanting to execute the guilty but protect the innocent. There's no hypocrisy in protecting someone's life but not "doing more" to support them.

Pro-lifers are often the most generous people on the planet when it comes to helping the needy. Socialists are only generous with other people's money, and socialists want to make slaves of the public.

As always, I'm confused by the paradox of demonizing the government, the murderous regime, yet wanting more of it, socialism.

Thank you. It's very nice of you to recognize that. However, this thread is about a different group -- the anti-abortionists.

I believe you're speaking of the theocrat that had a pro-death message. I believe that theocrats are a significant threat to a democratic society as documented at http://theocracywatch.org.

There's no hypocrisy in wanting to execute the guilty but protect the innocent.

There's plenty of hypocrisy in cheering for both war criminals and the murderers of abortionists while being completely indifferent to the victims of your terrorist ideology.

There's no hypocrisy in protecting someone's life but not "doing more" to support them.

The hypocrisy I refer to is in the injustice of enslaving the middle class and having them support a blood-sucking oligarchy.

Socialists are only generous with other people's money, and socialists want to make slaves of the public.[

No. Christian socialists are generous in the belief that maximum benefits accrue to everyone in society when all laws are just and applied equally and when all individuals recognize their responsibility to everyone else. The middle class are already slaves.

As always, I'm confused by the paradox of demonizing the government, the murderous regime, yet wanting more of it, socialism.

I can't imagine what you expect to gain by your misrepresentations. Any government that agrees with your terrorist ideology is far more oppressive and costly than the peace-loving Christian socialism I advocate.

I've said this before in another thread, the foetus is not just an organ in a woman's body. The foetus has his own DNA, a genetic makeup, which means that he is a separate being from the mother. And that is where Noam Chomsky is wrong. And since I have the bible by my side, can I say that we don't completely own our bodies nor our planet. We are merely caretakers and what we do with it must comply with God's rules. And aborting a baby is simply against the laws of God.

I think this is what is wrong with pro-abortion individuals. Just because a baby is helpless and little, doesn't mean that he isn't important. That is a human being already once he becomes an embryo and plants in the uterine wall. Any deliberate act to abort him, that's unjust and that's already a murder of a son of God.

And you cannot really compare abortion to the washing of hands. How shallow is that? Noam Chomsky might be a genius in his field but he certainly lacks some moral compassion.
