Presbyterianism, whose bodies are also called Reformed Churches, share a common origin in the 16th-century Swiss Reformation and the teachings of John Calvin, and today is one of the largest Christian denominations in Protestantism.

        lol, the extinct Anabaptist bird.

After all the Babylonian Bee articles I still don't get it: What's with the beards and craft beer connection to Presbyterianism?

We are known as "wet Presbyterians" only second to the EWhiskeypalions concerning alcohol consumption.

Among the Presbyterian youth it seems that old trends are circular and make their way back. Custom tobacco pipes, beards, and craft beer which were a trade mark of some of the Reformers have become popular again. Perhaps the youth sees them as signs of intellect?

As for the craft beer it was Martin Luther that once said:

Whoever drinks beer, he is quick to sleep; whoever sleeps long, does not sin; whoever does not sin, enters Heaven! Thus, let us drink beer!
Whenever the devil harasses you, seek the company of men or drink more, or joke and talk nonsense, or do some other merry thing. Sometimes we must drink more, sport, recreate ourselves, and even sin a little to spite the devil, so that we leave him no place for troubling our consciences with trifles. We are conquered if we try too conscientiously not to sin at all. So when the devil says to you: do not drink, answer him: I will drink, and right freely, just because you tell me not to.
          God bless,
          William
