    Papal Schism

    #2
I watched a few minutes of this but there was nothing new and the delivery was boring.

There were never three Popes. There were three claimants but there could never be three Popes at once.

BTW If you ever go to Rome you must see Michaelangelo's Pieta, just inside St. Peter's on the right. It's stunning. I liked to stand stand and gaze at it when I was there.

Hi Bebe, I saw the Pieta when I was there, and it is magnificent as you have said. I just wish I could have gotten a little closer to it (but I understand why that's no longer possible). I only had about 1/2 of a day to see the Vatican, and that, as I'm sure you are well aware, is hardly enough time. It is a truly amazing place :)

      Matthew 5
16 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

      Matthew 7
12 However you want people to treat you, so treat them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

      1 Corinthians 13
1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

      1 Peter 3
15 Sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence.

Quite educational. Thank you for linking this, William. :) I think that Dr. Luther was a lot closer to the idea of conciliarism than he was to the concepts of papalism.
