Christforums is:

.... an orthodox Protestant forum whose members espouse the Apostolic doctrines in the Biblical theologies set forth by Augustine, Martin Luther, Ulrich Zwingli, John Calvin and John Knox etc. We do not "argue" with nor do we solicit the membership of people who espouse secular or cultic ideologies. We believe that our conversations are to be faith building and posts that advance heretical or apostate thinking will be immediately deleted and the poster permanently banned from the forum. This is a Christian community for people to explore the traditional theologies of Classical Protestantism. Those who would challenge the peace and harmony that we enjoy here as fellow believers are directed to another forum.

Enjoy your fellowship

In order to understand the importance of Christian fellowship, we must first understand what Christian fellowship is and what it isn’t. The Greek words translated “fellowship” in the New Testament mean essentially a partnership to the mutual benefit of those involved. Christian fellowship, then, is the mutually beneficial relationship between Christians, who can’t have the identical relationship with those outside the faith. Those who believe the gospel are united in the Spirit through Christ to the Father, and that unity is the basis of fellowship. This relationship is described by Jesus in His high-priestly prayer for His followers in John 17:23. The importance of true Christian fellowship is that it reinforces Christ centeredness in our mind and helps us to focus on Christ and His desires and goals for us. As iron sharpens iron, in true Christian fellowship Christians sharpen one another's faith and stir one another to exercise that faith in love and good works, all to God’s glory.

The Six-Day-War: June 1967, When Underdog Israel Changed The World

With their dominating victory over three powerful Arab States in the Six-Day-War which began on June 5, 1967, Israel changed the world. It moved the Arab world from pan-Arab nationalism to “every country for its-self,” it established that Israel was no longer the underdog, and she was going to be around for a long time.

In the weeks leading up to the war, Egypt closed the Straits of Tiran to Israeli shipping, preventing ships to reach the port of Eilat. If the vessels wanted to enter Israel from the east, they would have to circumnavigate the entire continent of Africa. Additionally, Egypt tossed the UN peacekeepers out of the Sinai and, along with Jordan and Syria began to mass troops and tanks on its border with Israel.

Finally, facing the threat of being over-run by the Arab armies, with an attack by the Egyptian Army imminent, on June 5th, the Israeli Air Force launched a preemptive strike on the Egyptian Air Force destroying their airplanes and guaranteeing Israeli control of the skies. Egypt had by far the largest and the most modern of all the Arab air forces, consisting of about 420 combat aircraft, all of them Soviet-built. A large number of those warplanes were the top-of-the-line MiG-21 capable of attaining Mach 2 speed.  That was the start of what is now called the Six-Day-War.

Of particular concern to the Israelis were the 30 Tu-16 “Badger” medium bombers, capable of inflicting massive damage on Israeli military and civilian centers.

That has huge implications for the entire so-called Palestinian refugee situation. More like the boy who cried wolf, and those inclined to bash and/or boycott Israel today need to brush up on this aspect of history.

And now you have countries like Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE allying themselves somewhat with Israel because they are getting tired of Hamas, the Palestinians and other political actors trying to destabilize the region...

Couple that with yesterday's pulling US out of the UN human rights panel and this could be YUUGE. Yuge, I tell ya!

Seriously. Israel in the middle of the Sunni/Shia divide? Wouldn't take long for that to turn south, resulting in Israel being surrounded by her enemies ...
