John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

I want to thank every man or woman who served in the Military. Not only you, but you who have family members who served and have passed on. This MEMORIAL DAY is truly a day for us to remember those who have not only served, but died while serving our country. Many of us have family members who served in as far back as the Civil War, and  WW l and WW ll and the Korean War, Vietnam War and other Wars. Each and everyone no matter what they did, no matter how lowly the job, serving our country makes then honnorable people who gave of then self to serve so we could enjoy our freedom. Some paid the highest honor to our country and died serving us.  Today let us all thank God for those has the courage to do their duty.

one's life, wrote a blank check made payable to

"The  United  States of  America".  for an amount

of "up to and including my life."  That is honor,

and there are way too many people in this

Country who no longer understand it.
