Christforums

.... an orthodox (true and correct when contrasted with Liberal theology) Protestant forum whose members espouse the Apostolic doctrines in the Biblical theologies set forth by Augustine, Martin Luther, Ulrich Zwingli, John Calvin and John Knox etc. We do not "argue" with nor do we solicit the membership of people who espouse secular or cultic ideologies. We believe that our conversations are to be faith building and posts that advance heretical or apostate thinking will be immediately deleted and the poster permanently banned from the forum. This is a Christian Protestant community for people to explore the traditional theologies of Classical Protestantism.

Christian Fellowship

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

I personally don't need one. I am just a bit perturbed at the thought that it's somehow become a given that Christian and political conservative are a given and necessary pairing. I don't know that for a fact.

I'm perturbed that you even asked this question.

We do not provide services to political or theological liberals. If that is an issue, I suggest finding another website.

Liberalism destroys any source text be it the Constitution or Scripture.

And just because a person voted for Trump doesn't mean that they are Christian nor do they align with the morality and ethics the party platform stands for. Needlessly said, not everybody that votes for Trump is Pro-Life or a genuine born again believer.

However, there are no legitimate reasons for someone voting Liberal/Democrat as a Christian. How can someone vote for the party of death (abortion) and towards religious oppression and yet claim to be Christian? How can someone support the murder of innocent children and policies made to oppress the Christian faith?

This is not up for debate: Thread Closed.

I just wanted to add my support and wholehearted agreement with what @William wrote. He's absolutely right. Christianity is about life and self- control. Liberalism ( in any form) seems to be about the " right" to kill human beings other human beings regard as inconveniences. That's just the worst manifestation of liberal self- indulgence.
