John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

One thing he might consider us the cost of dumping one uniform in exchange for another, including "baseball" caps. We don't have any money for defense, folks. Let's not spend it on how we look.

The military was very image conscious. Or at least it was when I was in.

There was a time when the military would not allow tattoos to show while in uniform, or when in uniform a solider could not be part of a protest etc.

Of course right now we have soldiers participating in LGBT parades etc.

For reasons of morale and also recruitment I can see why the military wants its members sharply dressed. Not to mention camouflage may need adjusting because of latest designs and or areas we are at war in.

God bless,

William
