Christforums

.... an orthodox (true and correct when contrasted with Liberal theology) Protestant forum whose members espouse the Apostolic doctrines in the Biblical theologies set forth by Augustine, Martin Luther, Ulrich Zwingli, John Calvin and John Knox etc. We do not "argue" with nor do we solicit the membership of people who espouse secular or cultic ideologies. We believe that our conversations are to be faith building and posts that advance heretical or apostate thinking will be immediately deleted and the poster permanently banned from the forum. This is a Christian Protestant community for people to explore the traditional theologies of Classical Protestantism.

Christian Fellowship

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Gracious -- Hilary Clinton is claiming to be a Christian?! And as a Methodist minister?! Wonder how many Methodist's will threaten to leave the Methodist church as a result ?!?!

Hi Sue, Hillary has an interesting past. Along with being a Republican "Goldwater Girl", I believe it was her youth pastor who introduced her to Saul Alinsky and started her down the road she has followed ever since. Here's an interesting article in case you're interested in looking into it. In fact, if you want to understand the politics of the progressive left, understanding atheist/communist Alinsky is the place to begin to understand it all.

That is interesting. I wonder if her views on abortion will change if she becomes a minister.

I think she will do whatever it takes to continue raking in the kind of dollars that she has been recently. She is DEFINITELY good at it.

Hill and Bill left the White House $500,000 in the hole personally, yet they've managed to amass a personal net worth that has now exceeded $200,000,000. Impressive, considering the jobs they've both held and what they pay. In fact, one has to wonder how such a thing is even possible?

Chances are that if we knew who the Clintons socialized with 'on the side' we wouldn't be very happy -- it would possibly be down right alarming. Was never a Clinton fan :)

There will probably be very few who leave. It is likely that most who would object to her being a pastor have already left the church.

I clicked into the article -- oh, my -- "Want to understand Hillary?" NO. Just put her where she can't do any more damage?! And put a few others with her?! And it's all probably part of the end times 'stuff'. People's character / rumors Of character or lack there of. Etc. But, then again, to a certain extent, knowledge Is power. Taking a Positive Stand where / when it is Needed.
