Christian Fellowship

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Good grief --- moderation in all things ?!?! And, since when would the deacons have 'said knowledge' --- Let's be careful -- we church people -- about our 'attitudes' towards others. And, maybe , what we choose to joke about. Drinking Has been known to cause all sorts of problems.

He was obviously getting buzzed, his church was right and did a great job at what their supposed to do.

Did you read the entire article -- It wasn't the point that the man should not have been drinking beer -- it was the Kind of beer -- he wasn't supposed to be drinking the Coors Light beer -- but the apparently better quality Of beer. And then they had the guy Followed to see if he was being Obedient.

It struck me that Possibly the deacons were being a bit hypocritical in the first place. In order to know what/ where the man was doing, at least one of them had to have been doing the same thing and been familiar with those different kinds of beer.

Just suggestin :)

I was kinda sleepy when I read it.. Insomnia makes it hard to conentrate some times.

Yes it's absolutely ridiculous. I guess they're not worry if alcohol ruins the man as long as it's the alcohol if their choosing. I pray he finds a real family of Christians who will lead him in the right direction.

I do the insomnia thing as a way of life. Usually awake at least once every night. We all need that family of Christians.
