.... an orthodox (true and correct when contrasted with Liberal theology) Protestant forum whose members espouse the Apostolic doctrines in the Biblical theologies set forth by Augustine, Martin Luther, Ulrich Zwingli, John Calvin and John Knox etc. We do not "argue" with nor do we solicit the membership of people who espouse secular or cultic ideologies. We believe that our conversations are to be faith building and posts that advance heretical or apostate thinking will be immediately deleted and the poster permanently banned from the forum. This is a Christian Protestant community for people to explore the traditional theologies of Classical Protestantism.

Christian Fellowship

John Calvin puts forward a very simple reason why love is the greatest gift: “Because faith and hope are our own: love is diffused among others.” In other words, faith and hope benefit the possessor, but love always benefits another. In John 13:34–35 Jesus says, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Love always requires an “other” as an object; love cannot remain within itself, and that is part of what makes love the greatest gift.

Dan 5:24-28

Daniel 5:24-28 King James Version (KJV)

24 Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.

25 And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.

26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.

27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

28 PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

Daniel 5:24-28

CLV 24 From before Him then is being sent the fingertip of that hand and is this writing signified. 25 Now this is the writing that is signified:MNA MNA THUQL U PHURSIN" 26 and this is the interpretation of the matter:MNA, an accounting has the Eloah made of your kingdom and He balances it;" 27 THUQL, weighed are you on the scales and found lacking;" 28 PHURS, bisected is your kingdom and it will be granted to the Medes and Persians."

24 God also hand wrote the law that was given to Moses so this is not a first time event but is rare and is the first time they had seen it.

25 This may have been a known language of could have possible been a heavenly language that Daniel interpreted. God could have written it in any language.

26 Babylon would come to an end, in Revelation there is reference to Babylon which is shows that there will be a great rebellion against God and a time close to the end. The word Mene is mentioned twice because it was very soon to happen.

27 Babylon was in such a great rebellion they could not understand what they were missing. We only can stand before the Lord by having Christ without Him we are all lacking.

28 This would happen and there was nothing that he could do about it. God’s will we should just be apart of because we can not stop it.
