    Rom 8:9

Hi William, I asked you about the paradoxes Doc taught on because they gave a huge glimpse into Gods frame of understanding. And if we try to understand His ways and His Word through our understanding , we end upon one side of the two opposite poles throwing mud at the other pole. I think that can be the missing link that keeps people like you and i at odds with each other. Indulge me. Doc taught , "that a paradox embraces two things, mutually contradictory , exclusive to one another , yet concomitant. Existing at the same time , merged together , both true ,yet entirely opposite. The deeper truths of God are all paradoxes." Here are some paradoxes. 1) In Jesus was 100% God and 100% man at all times , in all respects , in every way. This is a paradox , and Christianity requires us to accept this going out the gate. Paradoxes that Jesus taught. 1) Jesus said , "You live by dying." In the Greek , it specifies that the living and the dying Jesus taught about was a simultaneous happening. We live and not live at the same time. 2) Jesus said, "The first shall be last , and the last shall be first.". In Jesus framework of understanding and supported by the Greek , we are first and last at the same time. 3) Jesus said , "If you want to be Chief , be a servant." Specifically highlighted in the Greek that Jesus was saying that His framework of understanding is that "in Him" we are chief and servant at the same time. 4) Jesus said , " If you want to go up , go down." But the going up and going down are simultaneous happenings in Gods world. My point William , is maybe Faith can be an act that is work, an act that requires a choice, a surrender. In a lot of peoples minds that is works based , man centered Salvation. But shouldn't this important deep truth of God make sense in His framework of understanding , and not ours? Maybe as we Faithe into Christ by the continual surrendering of our lives to Him , it "is" a work , and "not" a work at the same time. Maybe we play a part in our Salvation journey , and we don't play a part in our Salvation journey at the same time. Maybe we are both right at the same time , but if we don't filter our understanding of Gods Word through His framework of understanding , we end up on opposite sides throwing mud at the other side. This is why i asked you how much exposier you've had to Docs teachings on Gods paradoxical truths.

    Faith alone?

Redleg , is the understanding of faith , faithing , (pisteuo) in line with what you practice in your relationship with Christ? I've only talked about that first surrender or the start of a continual surrender , being at the beginning of the Salvation journey. I have the Salvation journey understood in my mind and on paper as 5 major happenings . 5 things that must happen during the Salvation journey from start to completion here on earth.. I'm kind of cheating a bit here because i'm at the end of my journey and have a good understanding of what i've experienced behind me. Are you interested in continuing the journey with me?

    Faith alone?

The reason i stated that "i think" true NT Faith and faithing has been lost , is the church world today has been over taken by the understanding that any choice that plays a part in the Salvation process is somehow a "works based or man centered " Salvation that is not acceptable. And it stems from the mistranslation of this verb pisteuo. We play no part in the Work that Christ did on Calvary , the Grace , the opening of the curtain to be able to stand in Gods presence. But we do play a part in responding to His Work on the cross , not by simply "believing" but by a continual , genuine , not perfect , surrendering of our lives to Him. This Faith or faithing is being perfected by Jesus as we surrender our lives to Him on a daily basis. This is where the trust and commitment is , in the surrendered life and the personal relationship it creates with Christ. We have to choose this , and this choosing gets tested and tried the more we do it. As far as getting no argument , that is all i get Redleg. Your one of the very few that have said anything positive about what i'm presenting. And it's all based upon Scriptural truth , keeping Spiritual laws , and the true Greek definition of the words in question. Thanks for your post , i have more to present about Faith if your interested.

    Faith alone?

How refreshing John , Someone who wants to know Christ better, i'm the one who is sorry for not being able to present this understanding without all the drama. I've tried many different ways to show that the understanding of true NT Faith and faithing has pretty much been lost to history. Heres the answer. Remember these Spiritual laws i presented that can't be broken , i'll share what NT faithing is and show how none of them are broken. A) at the start of our earthly lives, claiming any of Christ , His Word , or His promises. B) Our understanding of pisteuo must be supported by the Greek dictionary and the Greek definition. C) Our understanding of pisteuo must have worked before the 1500's when Gods Word started to be widely circulated. In other words , true Faith and faithing should be able to move the Salvation process forward , even if one being drawn by the Father didn't have the Scriptures to stand on , but only had the call of the Father. Most of society uin history would be in this state. d) Our understanding of Faith , faithing or pisteuo must support the fact that it is "a verb" an action word , something that we do as a choice. If you look in the Vines Greek dictionary it gives us the definition of the verb form of Faith , pisteuo . faithing should be the word that the English language needed to translate "pisteuo". But they didn't . Pisteuo is used 248 times in the NT. Pisteuo was mistranslated when they chose to use the words believe , believer , and believing. Here is an example of the mistranslated word pisteuo. Jn 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever "believes" (mistranslation) in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Here is an example of the correct understanding using the definition of pisteuo. Jn 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son , that whosoever "surrenders their life to Him" should not perish but have everlasting life. A) Ok, does surrendering our life to God claim Christ , His Word , or any of His promises before we have the Spirit of Christ like Rom 8:9 says? NO! B) Is surrendering our lives to God supported by the Greek dictionary for the word "pisteuo"? YES , it reads Vines: "A personal surrender to Him, and a life inspired by such surrender." C) Could surrendering our lives to God have worked Before the 1500's when the written Word was not publicly circulated? YES! A person could have responded to the call or drawing of the Father by true NT faithing , surrendering their life to God. D) Is surrendering our life to God an action that supports the fact that "pisteuo" is a verb , an action word applied by us? YES! Pisteuo or faithing , surrendering our lives to God , is how we start the relationship , maintain the relationship , and how we complete the relationship. The trust that everyone thinks we are trusting that God will keep His Word is False . The trust Him in that He has accepted the surrendered life , that He is leading the surrendered life , that He will Keep the surrendered life. Without Faith and faithing , "the continual surrendering of our lives to God" , IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM! John this is only the first step in the Salvation journey, if you like , you can ask some questions about what i've presented so far , or i can continue to share the rest of the journey. Thank you John for not shooting the messenger.

    Faith alone?

I'm only asking you and others what your understanding of Faith and how it's applied at this early stage of our Salvation journey. Something you have already done to be in Christ. We agreed that at this beginning stage Christ and the Scriptures are not ours yet , so ignoring Scripture is a mute point.

    Faith alone?

Did you weigh in on this wiliam , if i remember your understanding is we do nothing ? God does everything in the Salvation journey , we have no part in it, correct?
  7. faither

    Faith alone?

Yes i know you answered the question and agree that we respond "in Faith". But i don't think you replied on what the specific act of Faith is , and how its applied at the earliest stage of the Salvation journey. God is the "object" of our Faith , what do we do to answer the call and fulfill NT Faith and faithing.?

    Faith alone?

WE all agree that none of us are born with the Spirit of Christ sealed in us. As the result of that , as Rom. 8:9 states Christ is none of ours. I have highlighted the fact that if Christ is not ours , then His Word and the Promises in His Word can't be ours either. So with that state of being established , what is the next thing that must happen for the Salvation process to move forward. I think we are all in agreement that "Faith and faithing , (pistis and pisteuo) are what has to happen next. It is at this point where we all can test our understanding of what true NT faithing or pisteuo is , and how it is applied to move the Salvation journey forward. Pisteuo is the verb form of the noun Faith, used 248 times in the NT. The English language has no word for the verb form of the noun Faith. Pisteuo is the application of Faith. 1) our understanding of faithing or pisteuo can not break any Spiritual laws , such as. Anyone who is willing to put their understanding of Faith and faithing on the table to be tested can do so at this point. I will hold my understanding until some of you submit yours. Remember , we are discussing the Salvation process. We are at the very start and have only been drawn by the Father. Our next move is to respond in Faith and faithing (pistis and pisteuo) Looking forward to testing your understandings.

    Faith alone?

Ok John, i don't know that you answered the question i asked on this topic. When we start the Salvation journey and God the Father is drawing or calling us to Christ , we respond "in Faith". What is your understanding of what that "faith response" is ? What do we do ? Do we do anything?

    Faith alone?

John you seem to be truely interested in Faith and the Salvation journey . Do you want to have a discussion about it?
  13. faither

    Faith alone?

You guys realize i'm only asking questions about your specific born again experience? This is only the first step in the journey. Your faith has to be accepted , tested as told to us in the parable of the sower , and ultimately accepted by Christ for Him to seal us with His Spirit. If you have truly had to Holy Spirit sealed in you , these questions would be answered immediately and correctly. Theres no doubt if i asked you to define what happens when the Spirit of Christ is sealed in us , you would have an answer because it tells us what happens in the Scriptures. But , if you have the Spirit of Christ , you also have the Mind of Christ. And the Scriptures do not tell us what the Mind of Christ feels like or what happens when we have it. So if you want to cut through all this question and answer , tell me what it's like to have the Mind of Christ , "specifically."

    Faith alone?

Are you going to submit your understanding of pisteuo or how we respond in Faith at that "near" beginning part of the Salvation process? Hows that?
  15. faither

    Faith alone?

This thread is about Faith and faithing. When the Salvation journey starts isn't important only if its responded to correctly.
