    Does prison solve anything?

It all depends on the crime. I'm not the biggest Obama supporter but I do like that he is pardoning small time drug possession offenders from prison. There is simply no need to be sent to a federal prison for getting caught with a little bit of marijuana. No -- I don't smoke it, and no, I won't start doing it either, but I do know it's incredibly harmless. You shouldn't be driving around smoking, obviously, but doing so, with no prior record, should not warrant that sentence. There are a lot of people that would benefit being sent to an institution to get mental health as well. That's a big problem in this country, so much focus on sending people to prison, but not enough on actually fixing them. If we focus on the mindset of people, more than the punishment, maybe things would start changing. That's my two cents on it.

    Who Really Cares?

I'm a big football ball fan, but the halftime show has been a joke for years. It's not even singing anymore, its just a bunch of fireworks, strange people in strange costumes jumping on stage, and lots of loud music. I just turn the channel when it comes on. I remember when Michael Jackson did it, that was a great show. You are right though, this should not be a topic trending -- more important things to worry about.

    I need stability

Praying for you. I understand where you are coming from as well. I am often in the same position as you and it's hard to meet new people especially outside of your own religion with different thought processes. Being an introvert as well doesn't help your situation but you have to find the courage within yourself to get out there and meet new people and take the challenge head on. Ask god for strength, and I will pray for you as well.
  4. Allow me to prefice this by saying I know what a controversial topic this is, and I know about the option to give your baby up for adoption, but for some this is not achievable or will be frowned upon by family and friends. I'm just saying, I would rather perform an abortion at a very early stage, than have a baby you can't care for, provide for financially or give a good life. I know a few people that have had abortions and as tough of a decision as it is, they never regretted it and are very happy in their personal lives. I don't believe that someone else should have the right to tell other people what they can or can't do with their own bodies. Does anyone agree with this, or have any insight onto this? Don't attack me, let's have a rational debate here. Look forward to hearing from you guys.

    Tattoos

I have no problem if they are tastefully done. Many have crosses to express their faith, or photographs of deceased loved ones with prayers that are extremely well done. It can be a very pure form of art if done by a talented artist, and several have great meaning to it as well. I remember looking at a Heath Ledger interview once, and he has very obscure, small tattoos up his arms, and when he was explaining what each one meant it was so heartfelt and honest how could one not appreciate it. If you are getting one just to get one cause you think it looks "cool", I would frown against it; however, if you are getting with with a deeply personal or spiritual meaning, then I say go for it.

    The gift of giving.

Giving is both physical and mental. I believe that when you pray, whether to start or end the day or anytime in between you are giving, spiritually and mentally. Many people believe that giving is of the physical sense, a gift, or any thing else of that nature. If you are sending your positive prayers and thoughts, that is just the same, in my opinion at least. There is no greater gift than prayer, and you will feel it as well.
  7. That comes with a price too. ISIS simply doesn't believe in that if they refuse to convert to their religion it will come at disastrous costs. Hopefully they are fleeing and taking their family with them. I don't understand their warped ideology at all, they claim they are the religion of peace yet they refuse to accept any ideas but their very own. Prayers to everybody affected by this.

    Black Lives Matter

I feel its just a giant act that doesn't truly believe in what they are saying. They aren't protesting black on black crime, anytime an officer has to use his gun in self defense they are attacked, and then protested against. Several marches of theirs has people screaming for the harm of innocent officers. I think they need a complete turn around or be shut down cause they are missing the entire point of what they supposedly stand for.
  9. He's just pandering to his audience the same way Hillary panders to her. None of it is real, he would say the same type thing to whatever crowd he is in to get their votes, its all for show, its not real.

What is wrong with these people?

I still think about Flight MH 370 from time to time every week. I wonder what those passengers knew and if they knew anything of what was happening, or if it was just gone in an instant. There were so many wild theories about what happened to it, it was a really strange time.
  11. I respect anyone and everyone's belief as long as they are willing to have healthy intellectual conversations. I grew up a Christian, but also willing to be accepting of anybody. I see a lot of Christians who will immediately try to denounce someones faith and that to me is missing the entire point altogether. I like learning about other peoples faith and how they were bought up to think that way.

    Jesus Disrespected Lots of People.

I wouldn't necessarily phrase it the way you did. He wanted people to realize what they were doing and what he was doing this for.

    Do you believe in spanking?

To a point yes, there has to be a fine line and only the parent knows when that is. You also have to sit your kids down and encourage them too. Spanking accomplishes nothing if you aren't firmly explaining why you are doing it and what they did wrong. When my parents did it to me as a child they would always sit me down and encourage me and bring me back up and explain how they don't want to do that. It always helped.

    The gift of giving.

If you are truly blessed and fortunate in your own life, nothing makes you feel better by enriching others!

    After School Satan Clubs

I don't agree with it but technically it is still religion. As long as they aren't hurting anybody I don't care. If that's what they believe in and they are having intellectual conversation who cares what the group is about. There is a lot of things in this world I don't necessarily agree with but if they are doing it within the bounds of the law I have no problem with it.
