  • About me
Born again Christian for 33 years. My Mother came from a Presbyterian background and my Dad from a catholic one. I have an Aunt who is a Nun. I am convinced catholicism ruined my Dad's side of the Family, lol. Although I attended Presbyterian Sunday School as a child, I did not know the Lord until age 22 or so when I first turned my life over to the Lord and began reading the Bible. I began an intense period of seeking the Lord from age 22 to 29 when I finally received a complete deliverance from alcohol, drugs, and cigarettes. I have never had a desire for any of that stuff since. Jesus set me free!

What can be done for Africa?

Healings are only one aspect of ministries, as they were Jesus, the Apostle Paul and the other Apostles. It is the teaching and Preaching of the Word of God which does the healing. You are not seeing or getting a full picture or the scope of their ministry. Also I would caution you in listening to all those 3rd party critics out there which seek to discredit and slander other Ministries for various reasons. But to investigate them firsthand by yourself up close. You are invited to stay right at SCOAN for 7 days free of charge. You will be given 3 full meals per day. There is no charge. Take a vacation there for a week. Watch and listen to what actually goes on for yourself rather than feeding at the trough of the devil's plate. Jesus was accused of having a devil and of casting out devils because he was the ruler of devils. The religious leaders of his day said he was the devil himself. Nothing has changed with that and the same persecution of God's church still exists. [Moderator note: This post has been edited for content.]

    A secret of keeping healthy

Yep, I drink green tea all the time, as well as many other herbal teas! I eat raw oatmeal quite a bit in the morning, usually add some fruit to it too.

    A secret of keeping healthy

The Cafe in the public library near work is under new ownership. I noticed they sold small containers of mixed veggies for $3 which included some dip, Ranch or other flavors. It had sliced green peppers, cucumbers, broccoli, baby carrots, cauliflower. I said, "give me one of those!" A much healthier snack than a bag of Doritos!

[h=1]Apostle John Chi's Outreach Mission to the Muslim Community[/h] This took place in Africa, and included some Preaching as well to muslims. The rice was rebagged into smaller bags with Scriptural messages on them.

Perhaps Thomas Nelson removed the symbol from later releases as people started noticing it and complaining about it? The historical evidence as to who created and was using it first is out there. And Celtic pagans were using it at about 500B.C. before Christians ever started adopting and using it. "Triquetra means “triangle” or “three” (tri-) “cornered” (quetrus). It is made up of three intersecting vesicae piscis. A vesica piscis in turn is the shape created by the intersection of two congruent circles. A triquetra symbol is sometimes interlaced with a circle. An ancient Celtic symbol, the triquetra is considered one of the oldest; dating back to as early as 500 BC when it was used to symbolize the triple goddess (maiden-mother-crone). Over the centuries it has become the symbol for the Holy Trinity among Christians in Ireland. The symbol is often used to represent the 3 fundamental elements - air, water and earth or the infinite cycle of life. It is also known as a rune of protection." https://www.ancient-symbols.com/symbols-directory/triquetra.html Some history says Monks started using it in an attempt to attract the pagan celtics to Christianity. It has been and is now widely being used by wiccans, witches, and others these days as an occultic symbol.

Speaking of, "false prophets" many of the early evangelists who first brought the Gospel to me via TV, radio, printed format have been involved in various scandals, sins, flubs, etc over the years. That still does not negate the fact that I heard the Gospel through many of their Ministries! I thank them for it and Pray for the Lord's direction and will in their lives. Many of them have since gone home to be with the Lord, the "reverend" Billy Graham who recently did so being one of them. (There is no, "reverend" office found in the Bible incidentally. The office or title of reverend is not even scriptural.) But the Lord showed me early on we as Christians are not to, "follow men". We are to follow Christ. And as long as we do we cannot be snared by any man.

OK, but if he's a false prophet that not just a little problem, false prophets are condemned, they deceive the church with harmful teachings, the only thing to do is warn our brothers and sisters to stay away from them. Not all miracles are genuine and not everyone who cast out demons in Christ name is even saved, Matthew 7: 21-23. There is a lot wrong with this man and I consider that might even be starting a cult. The congregation of his church has even put his name into their hyms. False prophets are a very serious matter, for example Jim Jones was a false prophet who performed miracles, although events like Jones town don't happen often it's a good example of the damage false prophets do. Again brother, I'm only talking to you out of love and concern. Be on the lookout for wolves in sheep's clothing. I have never heard any song that has his name in it. Please show an example. Thanks. As far as "cults" go ever since I became a born again Christian there were times people have said I was in a, "cult", lol. Most of those comments came from hardcore catholics like my ex Mother in law, lol. Also since you are wanting to do Missions in Africa you may as well know you are free to attend and stay at SCOAN in Lagos for 7 days free of charge. That way you can see firsthand and up close what goes on there. You can stay there for free, there is no charge. They do have rooms for International travelers right there at the Church and you will be escorted to and from the Airport for safety reasons. You will also receive 3 meals per day, free.
  8. There are those who have a gift for, "street ministry". I am not one of them, lol. Just yesterday when entering a McD's I saw someone witnessing to a street type person who was sitting down on the ground smoking a cigarette. The Evangelist had a Tract in his hand he was trying to give to the guy sitting down. Their conversation lasted about another 5 minutes before they parted ways. There is an african american man who I sometimes see very early in the morning after work on a street corner holding a Bible up and proclaiming the Word of God to cars going by and stopping at the street corner. Sometimes he will be dressed in a suit, other times in casual clothes. One morning I walked over to him and thanked him for being so bold. He asked me to Pray for him so i said a quick Prayer for him.

Is water Baptizm necessay for salvation?

Well many of the ones around here certainly push it. Sometimes they are not so open or blatant about it. They often throw it at you later on in a somewhat subtle manner.

Is water Baptizm necessay for salvation?

You are probably wondering when I received the Holy Spirit I presume. When I trusted in the Atoning work of Christ on the Cross by faith for the payment of my sins. Jesus moved in, the devil moved out. He lives in me. He sustains me. And he delivered me from the snares of the devil. I went through a full immersion water baptism a few years later. But I was already Born Again at that point in time. I just did it as an act of obedience, as Christ did. "I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost." Mark 1:8 KJV "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:" Matthew 3:11 KJV "John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:" Luke 3:16 KJV

Care to expound on what you see as a problem? What problems are there by referring to Jesus as "His Son Jesus" vs. " His Servant Jesus? God bless, William This article sums it up quite well, but is too long to post here. https://www.biblestudytools.com/dictionary/son-of-god-the/

    New King James ERRORS

I noticed some here quickly, "assumed" I was KJVo. Not true. While I do believe the KJV to be a reliable translation the bible was not written in 1600's old english but in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek as most already know. However there are many new translations floating around out there these days which have some real problems. Some are more horrid than others. Personally, I prefer "The Great Bible" being it was the first English, "Authorized" Bible to come out. :) My ancestor, King Henry VIII while horrible as a person as far as his character goes, did in fact help usher in the Reformation with his decree, even though it was to spite the rcc. Probably few hear ever read it. Here goes: "Fyrst whan God had raysed vp hys sonne Iesus vnto you, he sent him to blesse you, that euery one of you shulde turne from his wyckednes." Acts 3:26. TGB Notice it says, "His Son Jesus". The NKJV translates the same verse as: "To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities." Acts 3:26 NKJV I see that as a real problem. As far as why would Thomas Nelson Publishers use a pagan symbol on the front cover of a Bible? That would be a question you would have to ask them... The pagan symbol found on the front cover of the below NKJV is called a: [h=2]"Triquetra"[/h] "Symbols are an important part of Pagan practices. People not only use them as jewelry and magic but also to connect with our individual lives on a deep level. On this page are listed some of the most popular pagan and wicca symbols that you will find in modern Paganism. We have also provided the meanings and translations of these pagan and wicca symbols." "In some modern traditions, it represents the connection of mind, body and soul, and in Celtic-based Pagan groups it is symbolic of the three realms of earth, sea and sky." Reference: https://www.ancient-symbols.com/pagan_symbols.html Bookmark the site if you wish, it is an excellent historical reference for various ancient symbols.

    New King James ERRORS

As far as i'm concerned the NKJV is a poor version of the Bible. It omits "the blood" numerous times. The Deity of Christ has been removed. The pagan-satanic symbol on the cover says it all, lol. The NKJV removes the word "Lord" 66 times! NKJV removes the word God 51 times! The NKJV removes the word "heaven" 50 times! In just the New Testament alone the NKJV removes 2.289 words from the KJV! The NKJV makes over 100,000 word changes! And most will match the NIV, NASV, RSV, or RSV!
