    Should Adulterous Pastors Be Restored?

Good question. It seems to me that if the pastor didn't want to leave and am guessing some wouldn't want to step down until forced to, then this is another mistake in judgement like getting into the adulterous relationship was in the first place. The key phrase you mention here is "genuinely contrite." Someone genuinely contrite would look to the common good; someone not genuinely contrite or in need of much help and counseling might not. Others may just consider the whole thing not so significant..like a fling, and not get serious about looking into their own motivations, behavior, weaknesses, etc. Or some in denial or feeling justified just think it won't happen again and so it doesn't matter that much. The genuinely contrite pastor will still have a heart for others.

    Avoiding friends who aren't believers.

Yes, I think if and when we come to this moment..then we have a better understanding of how others feel and how they too are seeking (even if like us, they didn't always know that). Good point!

    Avoiding friends who aren't believers.

Jesus told us to love others as he has loved them. Looking at his life and his relationships and how he loved others I see that he often hung out with sinners and unbelievers but that he was not equally yoked with them. He also had a specifically chosen set of friends and disciples he shared more with and spent more time with. Usually the only way unbelievers are going to come to Christ and become believers is by what they see others doing and from the contacts and relationships they have with others: family, workplace, and group participation.

  9. Yes, the danger is in that people (including Christians) can believe anything and interpret the scriptures to their liking and out of bias/prejudice, hearsay, bad teaching, etc. label anyone as the AntiChrist.

    Hello from the NW USA..

Yes, Stellar Jays (blue jays) here scare off our little juncos, sparrows, finches, etc. too. They can be real pests. I dislike their loud noises too.

    Hello from the NW USA..

Too hard to answer. Being a "birder" I have so many favorites. Probably right now my favorites are the tiny black capped chickadees who are building a nest in the birdhouse on my deck. The past two years chickadees have done that. The first year I actually got to witness the flight of the babies as they grew mature enough to fly out of the house. I noticed how mama bird coaxed and hovered over as this took place. Amazing! I love their distinct call and always know when they are there. If I don't put out the usual feed they let me know. Truly little bird friends. Hey, thanks for asking. :D
  12. Yes, as I read over these posts I am comforted by the thought that according to the Book of Revelation the good guys win in the end. No matter what we need to focus on that and how the story pans out. And so, our hope and our faith...Love it! :)
