1. Personally I have nothing against being transgender mainly because I feel that people should have the right to do what they want as long as it does not affect anyone else in any way. It is slightly weird and hard to understand the feelings that someone gets that makes them want to be a different gender but as long as it does not affect me I'm fine with it. The biggest problem for me is this situation posted here. How can a five year old know that he wants to be a girl when he is a boy? What makes them want to change gender? I mean what five year old knows what a transgender person is unless they have been told by their parents? I feel like this is extremely irresponsible on the part of the parents because it looks as though the child has been manipulated or pressured into wanting to be a girl
2. I'm not aware of the shows that they want banned so could someone explain what they are for please? It's stupid really. Imagine if there was a Islamic TV show on Netflix and a christian wrote to Netflix asking for it to be removed. There would be a massive backlash from people. But other way around and they bend over backwards to help them out and agree with them. EDIT: And then I realised who the source was xD. So is this actually legitimate news that has been twisted to sound stupid or is it actually completely made up?
3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCEmsbBd_98 Another act of kindess that helps you realise that maybe not everything you see and hear is bad. Mr Rees was 300m from the finish but saw that another runner, Mr Wyeth was struggling to finish the race. Instead of running past, he stopped, sacrifing a time that would have become his personal best and helped. Mr Rees said: "I came round the final corner and I saw a runner struggling, his legs were collapsing beneath him. Every time he tried to get up, he kept on falling back to the ground." "I went over to him and said 'come on, you can do this' and tried to gee him up." "But every time he tried to get up, I realised he wasn't going to make it." Runner Mr Wyeth said: "For someone just to stop their own race to help you, that's such a decent thing that he did." "I was urging him to move on, you know please don't sacrifice your race for me. But he stuck with me and I think a volunteer also joined me on the other side." "I got up, they helped me up, and I just tried to keep moving." But Swansea Harrier Mr Rees said it was "the same thing anyone else would have done".
4. I have to agree with you on this :). It is always nice to be able to visit a news site or open a newspaper and see something nice and positive to read. It's awful having to read negative news every day and it seems like it won't be stopping for a while. Everywhere you look something tragic has happened. Terrorists, murderers, car crashes. As the population of the earth grows, I think this type of news will only increase so it's important that we get used to it and ensure that it does not affect us too much. Hopefully, I will have the time to visit this section of the forum for a few minutes and read the positive news to cheer me up

Do you believe in horoscopes?

It's hard to believe in these types of things because these people that claim to be able to read your future claim to have their very own powers. If there was some sort of religious backing, maybe people sent by God then it would make it a bit easier to believe but for me I'm skeptical. It's weird though because sometimes you read a horoscope and it gets several factors about you or your day right but the way they have been written it is quite vague and in a way that it could be applied to a lot of people. It's one of those things, it doesn't affect anybody that much so it doesn't matter if you believe it or not to be honest.

Which blogging platform for a Christian blog?

If you have the financial resources then I would recommend self hosting a wordpress site. You can download the software at wordpress.org. You can then purchase your very own theme for the blog, I'm sure there are several religious based themes that would be perfect for you. Hosting your own wordpress site also allows you to install several different plugins which will help you if you want to post a lot of different types of content. The only problem with this is that it can be a bit expensive because you need to get hosting and a domain although you could choose free hosting and a free sub domain. If you need help with setting it up, just contact me and I can give you a helping hand :)

Most important aspect of a relationship

Communication & Trust for me. Without them I don't think any relationship no matter how hard you try will work. It's important to communicate with your other half about your feelings especially if there is something that maybe they are doing that you do not like. Keeping those feelings inside and not mentioning it to them will only cause trouble in the future. It is also important to be able to trust your other half. If you're are wondering about what your other half is doing all the time when they are not with you, it won't be healthy for your relationship or for your health.

Staying on Windows 7

I had Windows 7 previously and thought it was amazing. My current laptop came with Windows 10 and I have to say that I'm glad it did because it is so much better than Windows 7. It is extremely fast compared to windows 10. I have to say, I really like how Windows 10 looks. So far I have not had any issues with it. Like you said, I was a bit worried at first because Microsoft tend to mess up some of their updates and their fixes tend to take a few days to come out but so far nothing like that has happened.
9. In a few weeks the french will have to vote for their new president (the 7th of May to be precise) and the most likely two choices will be: The centrist Emmanuel Macron and far-right leader Marine Le Pen who won the first round of voting in French presidential elections today. The results showed that Macron was ahead of Le Pen. Who do you want to win? Do you believe Le Pen's wish to leave the European Union and restrict immigiration is fair considering the amount of terrorism that has occurred in France recently?

Why Isn't Christan Music Popular?

Weird that I somehow missed this post and didn't read it at first. Just played a bit of the song and I have to say it's the first piece of Christian music that I can say I liked. Like I said in my post slightly above this one, I think a lot of the time the beat of the song is what gets people and the one in this song is pretty good and it's quite similar to a rap song which I think will appease a lot of people. But like you said, if young child actually start understanding what the actual lyrics are, they may decide that they do not like it, maybe more so because they do not want to be seen as liking religious music?

Sully

It's one of those films that I will watch one day if it ever gets put on TV but I'm not going to pay money to go see it at the cinema. I'm sure it's good but like said above I'm sure they've added a few things here and there to make the film a lot more exciting compared to what actually happened in the real life event. I would much rather just watch one of those special documentaries that recreate certain parts of the event and don't add anything to them.

Religious Memes

Hopefully we can make this thread a sort of collection of different religious memes that we would like to share with each other. Let's try and keep them funny but not offensive and ensure that you take everyone's viewpoint seriously before posting something :). Here are some I found that made me chuckle for a while

Why Isn't Christan Music Popular?

It's usually not the lyrics that grab you and make you like the song, although it certainly is one part of it. I think it's more the beat that attracts you to the song. A lot of Christian music tends to be a lot more calm, chilled and relaxed compared to other genres like for example Rap so obviously it is going to not appease everyone which is probably why it isn't the most popular type of music. I'm a catholic and the only music genres I listen to are Rap, Grime and a bit of Pop. Religious music is just not my type personally.

Drinking & Driving

An Irish priest is driving down to New York and gets stopped for speeding in Connecticut. The state trooper smells alcohol on the priest's breath and then sees an empty wine bottle on the floor of the car. He says, "Sir, have you been drinking?" "Just water," says the priest, fingers crossed. The trooper says, "Then why do I smell wine?" The priest looks at the bottle and says, "Good Lord! He's done it again!" Again, don't mean to offend anyone. Thought this was a good joke to share :D

Hershey and Child Slavery

I wasn't aware of this before this post to be honest. I think the problem with this is that, can it really be considered child slavery? It is easy for us over here in European countries to argue that these children should have an education and should be in school and not working in factories. But for them and their families, a few dollars that we consider to be extremely low could actually be massive for them. It could be the difference between having a decent enough meal and starving. Like said above, there is nothing stopping them from leaving and stopping work therefore it cannot be really considered as slavery. I do however feel like more could be done to improve the conditions and give these children more rights because right now they are being taken advantage of.
