I'm curious what Americans (and non-Americans as well) think of the possibility of Trump being the leader of a very powerful nation? Which vote will you go with, and which politician has the best claim right now? Let's talk politics, people! I want to hear what you guys think in this matter!

I am not American but I have lots of relatives in the US who are not voting for Trump. They say that the guy is so gutsy and candid that the country might be in danger in his hands. But that is the essence of democracy, that you can vote into office anyone who is eligible to run for president. I have heard of the plan of Republican candidates to unite and pull down Trump from the front position. Unfortunately, their second leading candidate, Ted Cruz, seems to be having a hard time with the polls. And if the bickerings will continue among the candidates then I guess the Republicans will lose their chance for the presidency since Clinton on the other fence is making great strides against Bernie Sanders.

I'm American, and it's alright with me if Trump became president. Considering voting for him.

I'm American and I think that a Trump victory would be a disaster for the nation. Yet I think it is possible that God might allow him to win as a judgment on America for its sins.

Personally, I would vote for Trump over Clinton any day. Hilary Clinton has such a bad record of scandals that it's a matter of picking the lesser of two evils. Is Trump the ideal President? No, but a good thing is that he will force the current elite Republican part to reassess the problem within the GOP. At the moment, the GOP is so far removed from the populous that they aren't relevant. While the left is so far the other way they're trying to un-Americanize America by making it a socialist country.

Seems many want "change" and a boost to the economy. Most of the professing Christians supporting Trump point out that Jesus only supplied around 12 jobs. And therefore, are more than willing to disregard Trump's flip flops from one side to another on issues of abortion and same sex marriage. Trump is a business man they say, he is a billionaire, imagine what he can do for us!

That's besides the point. Heard some Trump supporters gang up on Carly yesterday too. Her personal life and divorce became an issue. Someone asked how many times has Trump been divorced? That's besides the point!

I don't think these things think are beside the point.

Quite honestly I am seriously considering going third party. Last go around I wrote in Ron Paul because I wouldn't vote for Romney, much less Obama. This time around I just don't trust Trump, I do not see how a woman president would be good for this country (especially Clinton), Cruz choosing Fiorina isn't much better, and Sanders is just this side of completely certifiable. I will have to look at how they stand on the issues, but either Gary Johnson or John McAfee might be the alternatives here.

I like Trump and have planned to vote for him right along. I know he's arrogant, and completely unafraid to call a spade a spade. He's also strong-willed and determined to have his own way. That's different from some of the wishy-washy presidents we've had in the past, at least. He will do whatever he pleases and the democrats won't be able to talk him out of anything he has his mind set on. I really hate it when a republican candidate makes all kinds of great promises and once in office, does a complete "donut in the driveway" and does the exact opposite of what he promised. I think Trump would rather die than do that. Besides, his living conditions are likely of higher quality than the white house. The old place probably needs a remodeling by now. I'm being goofy now, but we wouldn't want the Donald to slum it, would we? ;)

What are the points for and against based on a Christian perspective?
I guess a negative would be his want to have stronger deterrents against immigrants/helping those in need unless you're American.
Any other big things people should be aware of?
