For many, a display of solidarity from the Russian government toward the people of France is befitting of the name of the early James Bond film, “From Russia with Love.”

Russia’s Interior Ministry responded to the death of Diesel, a seven-year-old Belgian shepherd, who died during the raid of an apartment in Saint-Denis in the days following the bloody Paris attack, by donating a German Shepard puppy to fill the ranks.

Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the mastermind behind the bloody Paris attack, was killed in the raid.ADVERTISEMENTRussian interior ministry spokeswoman Elena Alekseyeva posted on Instagram that “the puppy will be sent to France as a sign of solidarity with the French people and police fighting against terrorism,” the Russian state news agency TASS reported.

“The police puppy’s name is Dobrynya,” she wrote. “He was named after a Russian knight, Dobrynya, a symbol of strength, kindness, valor and selfless help.”

This is the single most sentimental gift I have yet to hear from a nation. While we mourn death, Russia sends hope through new life. Awesome!!!!

This is a wonderful gift; in fact I think this is possibly one of the best gifts I have heard one country give another.
      Well done Russia.

Wow. This is so amazing and the unity is real to be appreciated. As William said they have sent this in the meaning that life is more important and death is a part of it. Wonderful news. Thanks, for sharing.
