‘Transgender 101’: U.S. military offering ‘safe space’ training for millennials

The military continues to become President Barack Obama’s personal laboratory of social experimentation with new classes with titles such as “Transgender 101” offered to help millennials understand how to provide “safe spaces” instead of learning how to slaughter military targets.

    From the Washington Free Beacon:

The academy’s Center for Teaching and Learning is holding two events on Friday, one for faculty and staff and another for midshipmen. The hour and a half-long workshops will be hosted by Marnie Florin and Kevin Perry, who are “transgender trainers” for Google.

Midshipmen and staff who take the training course will get the opportunity to display cards outside their door that show they are allies of the LGBT community.
The course was described in an email circulated by the Naval Academy on Tuesday.

“On Friday, December 9, the Center for Teaching & Leaning welcomes Kevin Perry and Marnie Florin who will be presenting Transgender 101: Gender Identity in the Workplace,” the email said. “Marnie and Kevin have given this workshop at Google offices around the globe to more than 2,500 employees.”

Florin said that her preferred pronouns are “ze” and “they,” meaning that rather than referring to her as “he” or “she,” she demands that others use the transgender alternative “ze.” This is the kind of training our military is currently receiving.

A military spokesperson told the Free Beacon that 123 midshipmen and faculty had elected to take the voluntary training. We can all be assured that Obama’s military will be eager and ready to take on the transgender “safe space” challenges now and in the future.

It is only an hour and a half in multi-year training, but I just don't see how a course developed for Google offices would apply in combat. Sticking labels on doors just highlights differences between serving unit members, which is exactly what they try to erase in Basic. Regarding pronouns, in the seventies certain military groups used "he" and "Mr" for all onduty servicemen, regardless of gender, to make the point that only rank mattered (I believe the US navy still does the "Mr" for Ensigns and Lieutenants).

I would be concerned about this from a practical standpoint as well. Many of the people they are likely to take the field against are not going to respect transgender rights, and many of them don't respect women, civiliians, or those outside their own group. If you look at the treatment of soldiers captured in Iraq something that makes an individual prisoner stand out, like the use of different pronouns, is not a good thing. And there are no "safe spaces" in a war zone.

When I was in the Navy 1964 to 1968, Homosexuals were kicked out. I can't imagine how anyone would deal with a guy in the Navy wearing a dress. Say nothing about using the Waves head, boy Obama has done more EVIL than any president in History of the Navy! I wonder as a Christian how do you deal with this? May God watch over you.

Yeah, they only let that kind of thing happen in the Army.
