Daniel 6:10-12 King James Version (KJV)

10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
11 Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.
12 Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
    Daniel 6:10-12

CLV 10 When Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house. Now the windows were opened for him in his upper chamber toward Jerusalem. Thus at stated times, thrice in the day, is he kneeling on his knees and praying and acclaiming before his Eloah just as formerly--this he is doing." 11 Then these masters foregather and find Daniel petitioning and supplicating before his Eloah. 12 Then they draw near and are speaking before the king concerning the king's interdict, "Did you not sign an interdict that every mortal who is petitioning from anyone--whether eloah or mortal--for thirty days, except only from you, O king, shall be heaved into the vault of the lions?Answering is the king and saying, "Certain is the matter as an edict of the Medes and Persians which shall not pass away."
These are my thoughts, please share yours.

10 Daniel knew that did not want him to pray he knew the results of it, this is most likely where he prayed, he wasn’t going to change that now because of the law, he was not ashamed that he prayed to the Lord even if the law was against him. We are not to change the way we serve the Lord because of the laws of man.

11 So Daniel rather then not praying, prayed for God to take care of them making this law, we often times should pray for God to fix things and we don’t. They were going to make him be punished for prayer, when the laws of man come against us do we stand for God.

12 This law was just meant to be used by them to bring Daniel down because Daniel’s loyalty was to the king but was to God first. We should have nothing before the Lord.

I'm sorry but it seems your posting is straight outta context

You are incorrect on your point marked #10 they who sot the king to make that degree knew Daniel would and was waiting for him to do so. They wanted Daniel to pray to his God. They tried to use it as Daniel’s weakness.

On your point marked #11 they wanted Daniel to be dispensed with, because of Daniel’s influence with their king, interfered with their own efforts to influence the king.

Just like the people of today that swarm around power in the world, those people didn’t care about Daniels loyalties; they cared about their own relationship with those in power. If you read the rest of the book of Daniel you would know that Daniel rose to the place where no one could communicate with Nebuchadnezzar but through Daniel, and those people who set out to set up Daniel didn’t want Daniel to do the same with Darius who as it was said in the book, had an admiration for Daniel, and they feared that.

So your thoughts don’t seem to jive with the text at all, and that is my thoughts on that.

But to continue, Daniel’s influence with what his enemies sot to have or feared losing, was similar to Jesus’ influence with the general public, the obvious right to be King of the Jews, and the Almighty was with Him, including events like what many call Palm Sunday, was a threat to take from the Jewish authorities, what they had. And that is why they responded to Jesus in a hostile fashion. If they cared about the Lord God, or who is God, or Jesus’ God, or Daniel’s God, they wouldn’t have done what they did.
