Woman Faces Enormous Guilt After Taking Her Friend to the Abortion Clinic
    by News Feeder

Was it God’s Plan for Me to Survive a Botched Abortion?
    by News Feeder
“Your current circumstances are part of your redemption story He is writing”—Evinda Lepin I don’t believe God originally wrote abortion into my life, as God is the Creator of life, but when it was introduced by man, or in my case, a woman, He rewrote the story of my life around it, to create the […]

    The Ultimate Gift
    by Sherlin
The ultimate gift. Was given and was wrapped up in the person of Jesus Christ, God’s beloved Son.

For His Son, is like the parable of the talent Matt 25:14-30; – where the master has given to each of the three a measure. This was His deposit to them, His gift. Yet it was not to be treated as their own to tuck away but instead to be taken as something to grow and make increase. We all read the plight of the one servant who did nothing with it as it angered the master greatly!

Likewise, we will all be asked one day, “What have you done with My Beloved Son?”

    John 3:16 John 10:10 Matt 10:39

    Quoted from
Way Truth & Life – “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6...

    The Righteousness of God
    by Hidden Manna
In Ephesians 2:8 we read “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”
It is written in John 3:27 “John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.” In this we see, as in the above verse that not only is grace a gift from God, but so also is the faith to believe. This is also shown here in Romans 12:6 “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;”

And also here in 1 Corinthians 12:7-9 “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;”
Now some may preach salvation by faith through the works of the law, but without faith how can one even work the works of God?...

The Left wants a biblical tax plan? You’re on!
    by William
No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father.”— John 10:18

The “it” Jesus is talking about in the above passage from the Gospel of John is, of course, his life. But there are lessons to be gleaned here for other issues, such as the current debate about tax cuts and what is or isn’t biblical about them.

Namely: True acts of love, compassion, and charity cannot be compelled by force. They must be freely chosen, even by Jesus himself, when he bore his grisly and torturous cross.

So when it comes to helping the poor, it should immediately offend the reason of honest thinkers when we are told that the tax plan approved by the U.S. Senate is a moral terror unfit for a Bible-believing people. This charge is made by the same leftists who don’t believe the Bible, of course, and desire to have government punish...

The Everlasting fire and the forever smoke of burning
    by Hidden Manna
I was doing a study on Mystery Babylon when the Lord opened up something to me concerning the everlasting fire that is never quenched, and also the smoke of burning that rises up forever and ever. I never really put much thought into this subject before, but I don’t believe this everlasting fire is a natural fire as one might suppose, but rather the fire symbolizes the fire of God’s anger. Let’s compare spiritual things with spiritual by looking at several verses of scripture.

When something burns, naturally it produces smoke right? But here we also see the smoke of torment rising up forever and forever.

Revelation 18:9 “And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,”
Revelation 18:18 “And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!”
    Revelation 19:3And again they said,...

The Covenant of God and The Children of Beleivers
    by William
    Introduction

The covenant of God is not a relatively minor and secondary aspect of God's truth, much less a passing theological fad. Rather, it is one of the most prominent, most important doctrines of Holy Scripture, if not that grand reality which is the very heart of the whole biblical revelation.

This is how Reformed theologians have always viewed the truth of the covenant. The German theologian of the 19th century, Heinrich Heppe, who summarized the Reformed tradition from Calvin to his day, wrote, "The doctrine of God 's covenant with man is thus the inmost heart and soul of the whole of revealed truth" (Reformed Dogmatics, London, 1950, p. 281). He quotes the 17th century Reformed theologian, J. H. Heidegger: "... the marrow and as it were the sort of center of the whole of Holy Scripture is the... covenant of God, to which... everything in Scripture must be referred" (p.281).

    Herman Bavinck agreed:

Please pray my Kidney stone drops
    by justme
This last Thursday about 2 AM my right side began to hurt so very bad. We thought it might be my some intestinal issue at first. The pain kept getting stronger and stronger. Friday after noon we reached the ER 115 miles away from our house, They thought it could be my appendix.. The Doctor ordered a CAT SCAN. When the Doctor came in with the results we could hardly believe it! A kidney stone 4 mm in diameter, just barely below where the blast the stone apart. The doctor said the stone was three fourths on its way out of the kidney. I was given 9 small pain pills which are not working. The pain is sovery bad, it feels like a knife is stabbing me on my right side both back and front. It hurts so much.
Pray that the stone will drop and the pain willlessen or go away.

    Thank you very much

Peace be to you all in Christ,

I dont wish to be deceptive here since I had just joined the other day under the username Voice, having made just one post, I come back to sign in again but my password wouldnt work and that probably wouldnt be so odd (and pretty common place at times) if this was the only place that has just occurred to me, so I wanted to ask about that. I know we are to have just one username, thats all I wanted but I had no way of contacting the board but to rejoin through another, I hope in this case that could be overlooked.

Also, how do you PM here? I am lost anyone know?

Hendryx Responds to Synergist J.C. Thibodaux
    by William
A few years ago I offered a challenge to synergists (including Arninians) which was designed to reveal an inconsistency in their affirmation that salvation is by grace alone; a challenge to prove that their theology necessitates a mixture the grace of Jesus Christ and something else. Many synergists believe that their doctrine of prevenient grace resolves this issue. But it is my purpose in this short essay to respond to the points made in a recent posting from a synergist who takes me up on the challenge.

By definition synergists are those who believe that an unregenerate person must cooperate with God's [prevenient] grace which results in regeneration; that we must meet God's condition of faith if God is to grant regeneration. In other words, to the synergist God's love for His people is conditional. The monergist, by contrast, is one who believes that Jesus loves His people unconditionally, because has met all the conditions for us, including giving us a new heart that...

    Fire and water
    in Baptism
    by Hidden Manna
The Lord uses both fire and water to cleanse and purify….

Numbers 31:23-24 “Every thing that may abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.
24 And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.”

Malachi 3:1-3 “Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.
2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:
3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that...

Do You Know the History behind These 10 Christmas Traditions?

However, many of these traditions have had a surprising journey on their way to becoming a part of the modern American Christmas.Photo courtesy: Unsplash/Mira Bozhko

Do children who die in infancy go to Heaven?
    by theophilus
In this thread, Is belief in reincarnation possible as a christian? - Christforums , William made this statement: "Given both examples, David's son and Jeroboam's son I think one can make a case that a "covenant child" that dies in infancy is in the hands of the Lord. I still see no evidence that non-covenant children receive the same privilege as covenant children." Since the thread is locked I can't respond there so I am starting a new thread.

As far as I know these two children are the only ones that the Bible teaches are in Heaven although they died as infants. The son of Jeroboam was not a covenant child. After Jeroboam was established as king of Israel he feared that if his people went to Jerusalem to worship God their loyalty might turn back to Judah, so he set up two golden calves and required that they be worshiped. In taking this step he rejected his part of the covenant with God. The fact that his and David's son experienced the...

    Divide and conquer
    by Hidden Manna
I believe we are shown a divide and conquer tactic given to us by the Lord in scripture for a shadow of things to come, and also as a sign that the desolation and fall of this world is drawing near.

    Here is the pattern….
Zechariah 14:13 “And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the Lord shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.”

Zechariah 8:10 “For before these days there was no hire for man, nor any hire for beast; neither was there any peace to him that went out or came in because of the affliction: for I set all men every one against his neighbour.”

Isaiah 19:2 “And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.”

Judges 7:22 And the three hundred blew the trumpets,...

    Can God be
    by Fastfredy0
The greatest obstacle to theological discovery is not ignorance but the illusion of knowledge; the conviction that you already have it.

My reason is my ultimate authority because it seems reasonable to me to make it so

R.C. Sproul: "it must be good that evil exists, because God sovereignly, providentially ordains only what is good. In terms of His eternal purpose, God has esteemed it good that evil should be allowed to happen in this world."

Can God be "pleased" or satisfied/glorified with anything which does not have its origin in Himself?

    Bearing fruit
    by Hidden Manna
There are those who preach, bearing good fruit or evil has nothing to do with salvation. But scripture warns over and over again about trees and branches that do not bear good fruit.
John the Baptist said in Matthew 3:10 “And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.”
Jesus also said in Matthew 7:19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.”

So bearing good fruit sounds pretty important doesn’t it? Well some will claim they abide in Christ, and that they trust in his finished works; so what they do, or what they don’t do as it pertains to bearing fruit makes no difference at all to their salvation. But the words of Jesus also warn those who did once abide in Him for a time but did not endure and bear good fruit. Jesus warned that these fruitless branches shall be taken away. Notice Jesus says every branch &qu...
